About the Founder!

Hello! I'm Carolina Huerto, an LA-based Art and Mindfulness Educator with extensive experience in schools and cultural institutions across Europe and Los Angeles. My journey into art education began during my Art History studies in Madrid.

I discovered my passion for teaching while instructing English to K-12 students. Utilizing creative teaching methods and passion for arts I refined my engagement skills at the University College of London.

Following this, I worked as a Museum Educator at the V&A Museum of Childhood in London, connecting with young audiences through innovative storytelling and puppetry methods.

In Los Angeles, I worked at The Getty Museum and I continued to thrive as an Associate Educator for Family Programs at the Skirball Cultural Center. Here, I excelled in crafting art projects and delivering digital resources to diverse, multi-generational audiences.

The challenges posed by the pandemic inspired a new direction in my career. Recognizing the need for safe social-emotional spaces for teens, I pursued certification as a Yoga and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) instructor.

The fusion of my love for arts education, wellness and a profound interest in digital pedagogy became the catalyst for seeking new opportunities and, ultimately, the inspiration behind the creation of Solecito. I envisioned a haven where individuals of all ages and backgrounds could engage in holistic well-being experiences, including sound healing, mindful art, breath work, yoga, and language education in English and Spanish.
